Isn't it ironic that when life is full of activity and there is plenty to blog about, there is never enough time to blog? Then by the time you find time, the time has past for what you want to blog.
For example, I have interviews with Coffey Anderson and Mellisa Lawson from Nashville Star. Quite timely-- TWO DAYS AGO! The same with my "I Survived A Japanese Gameshow" interviews. Now that the show is over, does anyone really care what former contestants Cathy and Mary think? I sure hope so, because that's what you're getting-- and you'll sit at the table until you've finished reading every word! Do you understand me, mister? Just be patient while I catch up.
What has kept me so busy? Well, as some of you may know, Victoria Rose and I are looking after her very active four-year-old grandson several days and nights a week. If that isn't enough to keep us hopping, we've been renovating May Cottage-- a massive undertaking. And right in the middle of all that my brother decided to rupture a disk in his neck, requiring surgery, time off work, home care, and a shift of responsibilities until he gets back on his feet. Not only did I take over all the chores and errands he normally does for our mom, he required some pretty intensive care himself at first. He's also our producer at work, booking all our guests and performing lots of other important functions around the station. I had to step in and pick up the slack. So for the last several weeks I've been doing both our jobs. I don't mind-- he's my brother after all, but all that stuff sure doesn't leave much time to blog.
Bro's doing better. He's back on his feet and back at work. We're well under way with our home project and making good progress. The little sprout is still under foot and active as always, but we are getting him on a routine. I have a little room to breathe, so over the next few days and weeks I'll start getting caught up with my blog. I hope you'll still find it entertaining, if not timely, and soon I'll be hammering out new stuff-- one key-stroke at a time!
