The device on my forehead is a lucid dreaming mask from the pages of Make Magazine. I blogged about it on VOX.
I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Mark Frauenfelder, Boing Boing founder, editor in chief for Make Magazine, author, journalist, and illustrator. I hate to get all fan-boy, but Mark has his hand in so many of my favorite things that I couldn't wait to talk to him. The conversation we had ranks right up there with other interviews I've done with some of my favorite geek-heroes like Apollo XI astronaut Buzz Aldrin, original rocketbelt pilot Hal Graham, and Ky Michaelson, the inventor of the rocket powered toilet*.
You can hear the entire interview here.
One thing Mark didn't mention was the new feature Boing Boing just rolled out, Boing Boing TV. I love the feature and I hope they open it up for user contributions, because I have a couple of things that might mesh well with the style and format.
Maybe this rant on Kaiser Oregon and their naughty traffic pillars would make the cut. I submitted it to Boing Boing when they were following the meme, but it was pretty much a "Fox Force Five."
Boing Boing loves Steampunk. What about this for a Unicorn Chaser?
If they couldn't use my submissions, do you think they would sell me ad time for my CafePress shop? Boing Boing TV had a retro commercial in their webcast, for grins I'm sure, but maybe somebody would get a kick out of my little home-brew effort. (And I bet at least a few Boing Boingers could find a shirt they liked.)
* Ky Michaelson was also the first civilian to launch a rocket into space, an achievement that seems minor alongside the rocket powered toilet.
Have you interviewed anyone who knows anything about the SPP or NAU, or Amero yet? Your readers mind find some of these interesting.
