St. Francis Sleeps With The Fishes

The body of St. Francis of Assisi was found floating face down in a shallow pool late Wednesday afternoon. There are no solid leads and no suspects yet, however sources close to the investigation say that attention is now being focused on a roving gang of kittens seen loitering in the area.

 

Here are a few pics of our little Fourth of July celebration at May Cottage. The little one is not quite four years old, so we wanted to go with more sparkley and less noisy. The sparklers were fine as long as somebody else was holding them, but the champagne poppers were a big hit. He also enjoyed the paper snaps that pop when you throw them on the ground. The little spinners that whiz around on the ground were, "Awesome!" but the bee that flew up into the air with a whistle and chased me down the driveway was just about his limit. After that he was pretty much content to watch through the kitchen window with Grams.
